San Diego Vacation!
For the first time in 3 years, we were able to take a real, bona-fide vacation. Yeah, yeah we went to Zion and Moab, but when I have to camp and/or hike, it doesn't count as a vacation. This year we were able to go somewhere sunny and warm outside of UT and got to do touristy things like Sea World, The San Diego Zoo and Legoland (which I would not recommend for anyone with kids over the age of 5, but Henry loved it so there you go).
We had such a good time and were very lucky to be able to stay with Heather and Justin in their new place. I am sooooo grateful that they were transferred to the West Coast and are now within a day's drive of us

Wyatt could not get enough of Charley. He literally picked her up any time he could and Charley lit up whenever he was near her. They definitely have a thing going on:

The first couple of days we were there, we hung out and swam in the backyard pool, which the kids absolutely loved. Just going out the back door and jumping in? Heaven.
On Monday, we went to Legoland. As I sad above, not for the above 5 crowd, but we made the most of it...:
Tuesday was a lay around the house day, but on Wednesday, we went to SEA WORLD!! I think I was more excited than the kids!:

Thursday continued our whirlwind week with a trip to San Diego Zoo, and let me tell you that it blows all zoos out of the water.
No trip to San Diego would be complete without a trip to the Pacific Ocean!:
To end the trip, we celebrated Vivi's 4th birthday:
We had the most wonderful time. It was so nice to be able to spend time with the Boyd Family. We look forward to doing it again, very soon!

Toothless...almost
We had a little bit of drama in the Decker household, tonight. Henry's front tooth has been very loose for a long time and has actually been bending towards the back for the last couple of days. Tonight, when he bit into his dinner, he really bent it further than it should be possible for a tooth to go without coming out. It was detached on both sides and the front, but was still holding on tightly on the backside of it.Enter the dental floss and dun-dunana...SuperMom.
After a half hour of crying and yelping in pain, and with the help of said floss, the little bugger finally came out. Truth be told, I don't blame Henry for the drama. It was stuck on there pretty tightly and it could not have felt good to have me pull it out. He was a total trooper, throughout it, though. He would cry but then calm himself down enough for me to work my magic, which is huge for my little guy.
Lucky for Forrest, he got to miss the whole thing. I am now 3 for 3 on pulling out front teeth. *shudder* I detest loose teeth. Especially front ones. So, I guess both Henry and I powered through. Yay us!
Now we just wait for round 2.

Catching up...
I have been very lax in blogging lately. Suffice it to say, life has been busy, so this blog entry will just be a hodge podge of pictures from the Summer, so far.

I was so fortunate to be able to go see Heather and her family in San Diego for a weekend. This picture is in front of the Hotel Del on Coronado Island.
I can't wait to go back at the end of August with Forrest and the kids for our first vacation in 3 years! More pics to come!
