Henry started using his blankie as a cape awhile ago, and now Lauren is following suit, except tonight she added her own special touch of adding a hat. Henry then followed her lead. They call themselves "SuperHero Henry and baby", since Lauren can't pronounce her own name. Those two always make me giggle.
On Friday, I had to go to the grocery store because Wyatt asked for pancakes for breakfast on Saturday since they didn't have lessons. So, as I was pushing Lauren in the cart down the aisle, Henry was saying, "hey, wait up." I started to walk a little faster and said, "catch up, buddy. Catch us if you can." Henry and Lauren thought that was the funniest thing and giggled down the whole aisle and I couldn't help but laugh with them. We then turn and go up the next aisle and there was an older woman standing there watching us with a smile on her face. I couldn't help but think that we reminded her of another time in her life.
On Saturday, we went out with friends to dinner in Milwaukee...without the kids. We left them all at Matt and Joyce's with their kids and a babysitter. I would be lying if I didn't admit that I was extremely nervous since this was LC's first time with someone other than family. They all did great though and the girl told us how well-behaved our kids were. It was a relief. I may have to bite the bullet and find one around here.
It's the little things in my life, like giggling in a grocery store or a good night out or super hero costumes, that make me realize I need to stop and enjoy life as it happens.
